A few weeks ago (May 18), Pulitzer Prize poet Tracy K. Smith read at the Loft as part of the Loft Mentor Series. She is the author of Duende, winner of the James Laughlin Award and the Essence Literary Award, The Body’s Question, winner of the Cave Canem Poetry Prize, and Life On Mars, winner of the 2012 Pulitzer Prize.
